SEACOAST BOARD OF REALTORS HOSTS "STATE OF THE SEACOAST"
PORTSMOUTH -The Seacoast Board of REALTORS will again host the first of two semi-annual "State of the Seacoast" news conferences on Friday morning March 5th at the Portsmouth Country Club, Greenland, N.H.
For the first time since the "State" news conferences began in 2007, the event will be held as part of the regular monthly Seacoast Board of REALTORS membership breakfast meeting. Doors open at 8 a.m.
"State" news conferences convene a panel of experts to present as accurate a picture as possible of the current state of the Seacoast real estate market. Invited guests include Kevin Bartlett of Real Data Corporation, publishers of the "Registry Review," a newspaper that tracks all real estate transactions in New Hampshire. Bartlett will discuss the foreclosure situation in the State of NH.
Peter Francese, noted local demographer and co-author of Communities and Consequences will also sit on the panel. Francese is one of the premier authorities on the impact of current and future demographic trends in New Hampshire.
Certified General Appraiser Peter E. Stanhope, Chief Appraiser of the Stanhope Group in Portsmouth will discuss trends in local value. Stanhope is a general associate member of the Appraisal Institute among numerous designations, certifications and affiliations.
Monika McGillicuddy, Joanna Rousseau and John Rice will represent the state and local real estate community. McGillicuddy, a 25-year real estate professional, is current President of the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS. Rousseau is current President of the Seacoast Board of REALTORS. Rice, a Past-President of the Seacoast Board of REALTORS, will present and discuss the latest sales statistics from the nine sample seacoast towns.
